Corringham

A small bustling town with 2 pubs and it has a social club near the town center plus a further sports and social club. There is a leisure club with swimming pool in the heart of the town. Corringham also benefits from Performers College which draws many families into the area.

Orsett

A quaint village having a cricket club, a tennis court and a bowling green. It has a Convenience store, which itself contains a small post office. There are two public houses in the village – the Foxhound and the Whitmore Arms.

Horndon-on-the-Hill

A historic village that retains its rural features, but still remains close to many amenities with two pubs, a butchers, a post office and a village shop. Each year Horndon on the Hill hosts Feast & Fayre. This traditional event dates all the way back to the 13th Century when the village was granted a Royal Charter to hold a feast and celebration on the last weekend in June.

Fobbing

A small village in Thurrock located between Basildon and Corringham, and is also close to Stanford-le-Hope.

East Tilbury

Has easy access to the A13 road between London and Southend/M25 motorway. Having great transport links it is liked by commuters. It is on the C2C railway line to London

Fenchurch Street. Also East Tilbury is a short train/bus journey/drive away from Lakeside Shopping Center.

Many families enjoy living in East Tilbury as there is a close community feel. There is a social club and a park which hosts activities throughout the year.

Coalhouse fort is situated at the edge of East Tilbury. It was constructed in the 1860’s on the bank of the Thames. There are many things to do and see here; again another enjoyable place for a family day out.

The construction of a Bata Shoes factory in the 1930s began substantial development in East Tilbury. The factory has since closed down and a hotel belonging to it is now a block of flats named Stanford House.There is a convenience store, post office, fish and chip shop and hairdressers/beauty salon all located on the ground floor of the block of flats.

Linford

A small village adjoining East Tilbury and thus is serviced by many of the same amenities but also has its own Pub, parade of shops and park.
